Daytona Beach Campus Visitor Information
We are pleased that you are considering attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. We believe that one of the most important aspects of the college decision process is having an opportunity to visit the campus. The Admissions staff is committed to making your visit to Embry-Riddle as informative as possible. This page outlines the procedures for scheduling your visit to the Daytona Beach campus. The Greater Daytona Beach community is home to more than 175,000 permanent
residents and is a top vacation destination. There is a lot to see and
do in the area. To assist you in planning your visit to Embry-Riddle,
the Admissions staff would like you to be aware of the special events
for which Daytona Beach is host. You may wish to plan your visit within
or around these special events. (Please contact the
Admissions Office for specific dates. 800-862-2416) No tours are scheduled on the following holidays: InterviewsThough not required, admission counseling sessions are offered weekdays by appointment. Ideally you should contact us two weeks prior to your anticipated visit date. Scheduling an appointment in advance guarantees that you will have an opportunity to meet with a member of our staff. Appointments can be made by calling Admissions at (800) 862-2416. Campus ToursTours of the campus are offered Monday through Friday year-round. Tours are also available on select Saturdays; for available times and dates, please call (800) 862-2416 and ask for the Campus Visit Office. A student guide will give you a tour of our campus. While touring you can talk with our resident experts about student life at Embry-Riddle. Since campus tours require walking, we recommend that you wear comfortable
shoes. Campus tours originate in the Student Center and last approximately

Schedule a tour page. Financial Aid OfficeWhile on campus you can have your questions answered about how to finance your education. We offer a variety of scholarships, grants, loans, or campus work-study programs. If you have questions, you can reach our Financial Aid Office at (800)94-EMBRY. Air Force Army and Navy ROTCIf you are considering a future in the military, Embry-Riddle's Air Force, Army, and Navy ROTC detachments will be happy to discuss their programs and scholarship opportunities when you make your initial campus visit appointment, or we can attempt to schedule an appointment when you arrive on campus. AthleticsIntercollegiate sports programs at the Daytona Beach campus include men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, cross country, and tennis; and women's volleyball, cross country, tennis, golf, and soccer. If you wish to meet with a coach, you should schedule an appointment when you make your initial campus visit appointment or by calling the Athletics Office at (386) 323-5000. About the CampusThe Daytona Beach campus is home to approximately 4,500 undergraduates, 400 graduate students, and more than 1,000 faculty and staff. The 185 acre-campus includes 38 buildings, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and several athletic fields. The Lehman Engineering and Technology Center houses subsonic and supersonic wind tunnels and a smoke tunnel as well as structures, materials, aircraft design, and composite materials labs. The College of Aviation Building features state-of-the-art air traffic, meteorology, and safety labs. The high-bay Simulator Building is home to several world-class Flight Training Devices (FTDs). These FTDs complement flight training conducted in our fleet of Cessna 172s (many equipped with glass cockpits), Piper Arrows, and Seminoles. Other campus facilities include the ICI Center (athletics field house and fitness center), Instructional Center, Interfaith Chapel, and Student Village. Dining ServicesCampus visitors are welcome to eat with students, staff, and faculty. A wide variety of hot and cold food is served daily in the University Food Court (cafeteria) and Landing Strip Snack Bar located in the John Paul Riddle Student Center. Coupons entitling you to a free lunch are available in the Admissions Office. DirectionsEmbry-Riddle's Daytona Beach campus is easily accessible from Daytona Beach International Airport, Orlando International Airport, and by Interstate highways 4 and 95. The University is located on Clyde Morris Boulevard, two lights south of International Speedway Boulevard (U. S. Hwy. 92) and three lights north of Beville Road (Rt. 400).
By AutomobileFrom the North: Take I-95 to U.S. Hwy. 92 East (International Speedway Boulevard). Go east on International Speedway Boulevard to Clyde Morris Boulevard. Turn right; the main entrance to Embry-Riddle is the third light. Turn right onto campus. From the South: Take I-95 to Rt. 400 (Beville Road). Follow Beville Road to second traffic light at Clyde Morris Boulevard. Turn left. Embry-Riddle is at the third light. Turn left onto campus. From the Southwest: Take I-4 east continuing straight over I-95 as I-4 becomes Rt. 400 (Beville Road). Follow Beville Road to the second traffic light, the Clyde Morris Boulevard intersection. Turn left. Embry-Riddle is at the third light. Turn left onto campus. From Airports From Daytona Beach International Airport turn right onto Midway Avenue.
Turn right at first traffic light onto Richard Petty Boulevard and proceed
to the intersection of Clyde Morris Boulevard (the second light). Turn
right and continue to the first light. This will be the main entrance
to Embry-Riddle. Turn right onto campus. Local AccommodationsIf you are traveling from a distance, you may wish to make reservations to stay overnight at a local motel or hotel. The following is a list of suggested hotels/motels in the Daytona Beach area. We have listed them by mainland and beach side locations. Most of these lodgings offer discounted rates to campus visitors. Please remember to mention Embry-Riddle (ERAU) when you make your reservation! It offers the adventure of a city with the warmth, charm, and friendly atmosphere of a small town. Long known as one of Florida's primary tourist destinations, Daytona Beach is located on the central east coast of Florida, with 23 miles of the "World's Most Famous Beach." In addition to the ocean, the area is home to several lakes and rivers, providing an endless variety of recreational activities. Fresh and saltwater fishing are popular activities.
