A Welcome from the Office of Orientation and Parent Relations
Welcome Student, Parents, and Guests:
It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Community. Thank you for choosing us and we are extremely excited to have you join the ERAU Family. To help aide you along your journey, I have put together a team of exceptional students to serve as your Orientation Ambassadors. The team and I work closely with Academics, Admissions, and Student Affairs in an effort to provide new students and their families with an overview of what Embry-Riddle has to offer both in and out of the classroom.
New Student Orientation is a program required program for all new students who attend ERAU. During this time students will learn about the community and the resources it has to offer, finalize their class schedule, meet with their academic advisor, and get a chance to meet both new and continuing students at Embry-Riddle. Parents will also have a chance to participate in our Parent Orientation that is geared towards their specific needs and concerns. At this time parents will also have the opportunity to meet other parents, faculty and administrators.
We hope that orientation programming will help you become familiar with Embry-Riddles Aeronautical University's expectations, traditions, and history. We encourage you to take these next few hours or days to learn about all we have to offer and take the time to ask any questions that you may have. This is the first step in gaining a strong start to your new college life and we are here to help in any way! Thank you again for choosing ERAU and we are happy to have you here! Go Eagles!
Sincerely,
Shane M. Ryan
Director of Orientation and Parent Relations
