- Accountability- Student will be accountable to the University via the Career Services Office in order to maintain the Program's high standards.
Official Experience- Participation in the University Cooperative Education/Internship Program. (Student will be "on their own" if not registered for the co-op/internship.)
- Transcript- Co-op/Internship course will be posted on transcript as "Cooperative Education," with Degree Program listed.
- Earn credit- Up to 6 hours of open electives
- Course substitution for technical credit- Potential to substitute open elective earned from co-op/internship for technical credit
- Verification- Verification of Co-op/Internship may be necessary for potential employers in the future. Career Services unable to do this if student not registered.
- Financial Aid- Possible for the semester of co-op/internship if student is eligible for aid.
- Financial Aid repayments- Repayments deferred if student enrolled/registered for the co-op/internship experience.
- Verification Letter of Enrollment- Verification letter showing full-time co-op/intern status can be written for insurance or scholarship purposes through Career Services Office. Training is part of a students educational program while enrolled at Embry-Riddle. Both insurance companies and agencies awarding scholarships typically require full-time student status. The University views students taking 6 credit hours as 1/2 time status.
- Interaction with Career Services- You interact with the Career Services Office staff, take advantage of the services offered and develop your job search strategy.
