International Student Admissions

Student Journals:

Each year, several students post online journals about life at Embry-Riddle, and international students are often among them.

"My name is Vivekh, 17 years old, and I hail from the beautiful twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean...How I came to ERAU. Well, for as along as I can remember, I have LOVED aviation with all my life. I talked to my parents about going to the U.S. to learn to fly and they agreed (love u guys!)..."

Embry-Riddle Welcomes International Students

Students come from all around the globe for our unique aerospace-focused degree programs -- some 86 countries are represented currently at our residential campuses in Prescott, Ariz., and Daytona Beach, Fla. Each campus provides comprehensive services to help you adjust to all segments of campus life and maintain your status in compliance with immigration regulations.

Learning the English Language

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's residential campuses both feature programs designed to prepare international students to fulfill language proficiency requirements and succeed in their university studies.

Many international students at the Daytona Beach, Florida, campus attend the Embry-Riddle Language Institute (ERLI). ERLI offers an intensive English program that prepares students for full-time university studies during regular academic semesters in addition to various short-term English language programs. Many international students enroll in ERLI to prepare for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Conditional admission to Embry-Riddle is available to ERLI students who qualify.

In order to help students fulfill the English proficiency requirement, Embry-Riddle in Prescott works as a cooperating school with ELS Language Centers, one of the premier providers of English language learning in the United States. If you meet all other admission criteria beside the TOEFL requirement, ERAU—Prescott can conditionally admit you while you study English with ELS Language Centers. Upon completion of Level 112 with ELS Language Centers, you can be fully admitted to begin your studies at ERAU—Prescott.

In addition to our two residential campuses, there are approximately 130 campus centers and teaching locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East where you can attend classes.
