Senior Executive Vice President for Academics & Research

Christina Frederick-Recascino is Senior Executive Vice President for Academics & Research. She is also a professor of human factors and systems.

Since joining Embry-Riddle in 2000 as an associate professor of human factors, Frederick-Recascino has served as assistant dean of arts and sciences, assistant provost for research and graduate studies, and interim provost.

In her new role, Frederick-Recascino leads efforts to increase the university's funded research activities. She also oversees university federal government relations, and the university's development of a 77-acre research and technology park focused on aviation and aerospace.

Frederick-Recascino is the author of more than 40 research publications, four book chapters, and more than 60 regional, national, and international conference presentations. She is active in a number of aviation and aerospace-related organizations including American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, National Safe Skies Alliance, Women in Aviation, Florida Research Consortium, and the Florida Office of Women in Higher Education.

She earned a Ph.D. in psychological development at the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y., and a B.S. in psychology at State University of New York, Geneseo.
