Irene C. McReynolds
Irene McReynolds was named Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's vice president for human resources in March 2007. She is responsible for all employee recruiting, hiring, payroll, benefits, compensation, training, and employee relations at the university.
McReynolds joined Embry-Riddle in 1977 as an activities coordinator in the student life office. Within two years, she transferred to the human resources office, where she has held several positions, including director of personnel services for the Daytona Beach campus, manager of employment and employee relations, and director of human resources for all campuses. She also worked as executive assistant to the chief business officer and as interim chief information officer.
Previously, McReynolds served for a year as assistant to the director of institutional research at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and taught business courses for two years to high school students and adults at King Philip Regional Schools in Wrentham, Mass.
McReynolds is active in several human resources professional groups and serves as treasurer of the Florida chapter of the College and University Personnel Association for Human Resources. She earned an MBA in aviation from Embry-Riddle and a B.S. in business education from Bryant University.
