Health Care, Dental, and Vision Insurance Plans
Embry-Riddle Health Care Plan
The Embry-Riddle Health Care Plan is a PPO (preferred provider organization) plan available to employees on all campuses. The plan includes dental and vision coverage and a prescription drug program.

Florida Health Care Plan
The Florida Health Care Plan is an HMO (health maintenance organization) plan available only to employees on the Daytona Beach or Worldwide Campus headquarters in Daytona Beach. The plan includes dental and vision coverage and a prescription drug program.

Flex Benefit Spending Accounts
Eligible employees may enroll in a Medical Expense Reimbursement Spending Account and/or a Dependent Care Expense Reimbursement Spending Account.
A medical reimbursement account is a way to set aside pretax dollars through payroll deduction to pay for certain eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance. (Examples of these expenses include health and dental deductibles, copayments, and eyeglasses.) A dependent care reimbursement account is a way to set aside pretax dollars to pay for dependent day care.
Basic Life Insurance
Embry-Riddle provides coverage equal to the employee's annual salary. Minimum coverage is $15,000; maximum coverage is $50,000.
Employee Supplemental Life Insurance
Eligible employees may purchase additional term life insurance coverage through payroll deduction.
Spouse (Domestic Partner) and Dependent Child Term Life Insurance
Eligible employees may purchase term life insurance coverage for their spouse (domestic partner) and/or dependent children through payroll deduction.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
Embry-Riddle provides coverage equal to the employee's annual salary. Minimum coverage is $15,000; maximum coverage is $50,000. Dismemberment benefit is full- or half-salary, based on the extent of the injury.
Short-Term Disability Insurance
Eligible staff receive a weekly benefit rate equal to 60% of salary, up to $750.00. The maximum benefit period is 26 weeks. Eligible faculty receive up to eight weeks of faculty disability leave, then receive 60% salary for up to 18 weeks, for a total maximum benefit period of 26 weeks.
Long-Term Disability Insurance
Embry-Riddle provides this insurance, with a monthly benefit rate equal to 60% of salary, up to $5,000.00. Benefits may continue up to age 65.
Voluntary Personal Accident, Indemnity, and Cancer Protection Plans
Eligible employees may participate in additional accident/disability and cancer insurance plans through payroll deduction.
